Weekend Playoffs Alert: The Flyers Start Round 2 Of The NHL Playoffs On Sunday, While The Sixers Gear Up For Game 1 Of The NBA Playoffs On Saturday

It’s a great weekend for Philadelphia sports, with two teams in the playoffs: the Flyers play the New Jersey Devils this Sunday at 3 p.m. in Round 2 of the NHL Playoffs, while the Sixers kick off their playoff run against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Here are a few ways to cheer on the teams with a large group, drink specials and, most importantly, the game on the big screen:
The Piazza at Schmidts: This open-air plaza in Northern Liberties has quickly become one of Philadelphia’s favorite gathering places for all kinds of special events. It’s got a forty-foot jumbotron and some seriously awesome bars, shops and restaurants lining the inner courtyard, where visitors can relax on lawn chairs or on astroturf for free while watching the game.
Xfinity Live!: Home of the official Flyers viewing parties, the new South Philly dining and entertainment district boasts a 32-foot LED screen in its central court, plus countless other televisions across its five bars and restaurants, all designed for prime game watching. Flyers and Sixers fans alike are saying that all the excitement at the complex makes it the next best thing to being at the game.
