Monumental Weekend Alert: Be In Philadelphia This Friday, Saturday And Sunday For One Of The Most Action-Packed Weekends In Recent Memory

Every weekend in Philadelphia is pretty great, but this weekend is shaping up to take the cake... The Barnes opens on the Parkway, both the Rittenhouse Row Festival (pictured here) and Italian Market Festival hit the streets, the Trenton Avenue Arts Festival returns and it all starts with a free edition of Art After 5 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Friday evening. Every weekend in Philadelphia is fun-packed from your first sip at Friday happy hour to your last glimpse of Sunday sunshine the evening before real life begins again with the work or school week.

But this weekend, May 18-20, is truly monumental, with some of the season’s — even the year’s — most anticipated openings and events all coinciding over the same three-day period.

Check out a brief glimpse of what’s in store for your social life this weekend; of course, Weekend Picks on Friday will fully flesh out all the goings-on over the weekend.

Barnes Philadelphia Campus Grand Opening Celebration

Italian Market Festival

Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival

Trenton Avenue Arts Festival and Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby

Art in the Open 2012

Stay tuned on uwishunu throughout the week for more details about all of the above. And make sure, if you live here, you don’t leave town this weekend; and if you’re coming into town, consider yourself lucky.
