Square 1682 Chef Guillermo Tellez is not only a talented chef; he’s also an animal lover.
That’s why he’s bringing back last summer’s super popular Bring-Your-Own-Dog [BYOD] weekend brunch throughout the summer season starting Saturday, June 16.
The brunch includes a brand new menu for canine companions to enjoy on Square 1682’s attractive outdoor seating along Sansom Street.
Dogs in need of homes will be on site with Operation Ava (Philadelphia’s No-Kill Rescue, Adoption and Education center), and all dogs will leave with a treat-filled Doggie Bag from canine boutique Doggie Style.
Bonus: for every canine meal sold, $1 will go to Operation Ava. Operation Ava will be on site from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The BYOD menu includes five canine-fabulous dishes for dogs to enjoy on the patio or to-go, including Lola’s Bowl with beef tartare, raw egg, cooked rice and carrots and Yodi’s Chow with chicken, steal cut oats, seasonal vegetables, white beans and cheddar.
Accompanying each dish will be a bowl of filtered Natura water and an organic treat from Doggie Style. Fun fact: each dish is named after a Square 1682 (or adjacent Hotel Palomar) staffer’s pet!
Of course Square 1682’s human guests will continue to enjoy an extensive brunch menu offered both Saturdays and Sundays, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
