Building off the long-time success of First Fridays in Old City and other neighborhoods, Chestnut Hill is hosting its own, new rendition this summer: Third Thursdays on Germantown Avenue.

The series, back tomorrow night, June 21, includes live, public music performances, extended store and restaurant hours and other great activities, like cupcake decorating at Bredenbeck’s Bakery and complimentary hors d’oeuvres provided by Drake’s Gourmet Food & Catering.

Select stores will remain open until 8 p.m., and restaurants until 10 p.m., giving visitors plenty of time to feast on delicious snacks or dinner, and get in some summertime shopping.

Chestnut Grill will be celebrating by opening its new outdoor patio for the season, including live music and other seasonal festivities, and the Woodmere Art Museum will be hosting special activities for parents and their children.

Tomorrow night you can enjoy complimentary popcorn and balloons, plus an appearance from Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster.

Third Thursdays are a great way to explore this booming corridor of Germantown Avenue, so definitely plan on making it out this summer.
