If you’re the adventurous type, but your significant other prefers to take it easy, here’s the ideal experience for the two of you – a romantic evening kayaking tour along the Schuykill River with Hidden River Outfitters on Saturday, June 30, from 8-9:30 p.m.
Kayaking down the Schuykill, while taking in the moonlit sights of the city, is both serene and active at the same time.
It’s also a great activity for a group of friends, a fun new way to explore the city.
Point your kayak upriver towards the Fairmount Dam to enjoy spectacular views of the Art Museum, Fairmount Water Works and the city skyline. Head downriver towards Bartram’s Garden to immerse yourself in greenery and wildlife. With so much foliage, you may not believe that you’re still in the city.
This professionally-guided tour includes equipment rental, half hour of instruction, and one hour on the river. Individual and tandem kayaks are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are $50 per person. Call 215-222-6030 x103 or x100 for more information or to book your tour.
