As Philadelphia prepares for a slew of Fourth of July festivities, we’ve already filled you in on where to spend the day eating, drinking and watching fireworks with friends and family.
To add to that list, Philadelphia’s Independence Visitor Center will host America’s Birthday Party, a celebratory July 4th event to follow the Philadelphia Independence Parade at 1 p.m.
Complete with Besty Ross, fife and drum, the real icing on the cake (literally) will be Termini Bros’ five-tier cake designed and made specially for our nation’s 236th birthday.
The family-focused bakery, calling South Philadelphia home for more than 90 years, will unveil their layered creation during the beginning of the program while singing “Happy Birthday” to America.
And that’s not all. Termini Bros will also provide 1776 red, white and blue cupcakes to be passed out to all who attend.
The event is free and open to the public, so be sure to stop by for the celebrations. Happy Birthday America!
