Tonight Picks, Philly Beer Week Edition: Outdoor Pig Roast At Varga, Mechanical Bull At Percy Street, Sansom Street Block Party, With Love Beer Garden, Dunkel Dare Championship Round, Stella’s Italian Beer Garden And More

On certain days that promise particularly bustling evenings, we round up our selections for the most can't-miss pursuits with which to fill your schedule. This week, in honor of Philly Beer Week, we're publishing Tonight Picks every single day. See you out there!]
• Outdoor Pig Roast at Varga Bar: Long Trail, Rogue, Flying Fish, Troegs and Iron Hill will be in the house with delicious brews all day and night. You need something to wash down with all that beer; luckily, Chef Evan Turney will be hosting another fun pig roast outdoors.

• Munchies Screening Party at Alla Spina: Visit Alla Spina tonight for a screening of Vice’s Munchies series. Two episodes will be shown (Jeff Michaud & Brad Spence) and cans of Brooklyn Lager will be $2 apiece. There will be a special late night menu from Alla Spina, and the chefs from all the restaurants shown in the videos will be in attendance. The party starts at 10 p.m., and the first episode will be shown at 10:30 p.m.

• Ride the Mechanical Bull at Percy Street Barbecue: Back by popular demand, Percy Street is turning into a rodeo for the night, with a mechanical bull set up smack in the middle of the restaurant. They’ve up’d the ante this year with the first official team competition. Teams of five can compete for the coveted trophy. Competition starts at 8 p.m., practice starts at 6 p.m. All teams must be signed up prior to 7:30 p.m. Game on. Enjoy beer specials from Brooklyn Brewery, Dock Street, Harpoon, Lancaster, Narragansett, Sierra Nevada, Sly Fox, Victory and Yards.

• With Love Beer Garden Night Four: The Second Annual With Love Beer Garden is back for night four at the Four Seasons Hotel tonight, 5-9 p.m. Tonight’s featured brewer is Sly Fox. Rumor has it they’ll be bringing awesome beer-themed games to the beer garden mix.

• Dunkel Dare at Frankford Hall with Marc Summers, Championship Round: Dunkel Dare is back for round three at Frankford Hall. It’s a blast from the past, as Double Dare’s Marc Summers hosts a live-action game show during which four teams from regional craft breweries duke it out on a Double Dare-like set. Tonight’s winner earns a placement on Frankford Hall’s draft list for one year!

• Pizzeria Stella’s Italian Beer Garden: Stephen Starr’s Pizzeria Stella is throwing a party for all with a one-day pop-up Italian Beer Garden under the Headhouse Square Shambles complete with a Bocce ball court, live Italian accordion player, face painter and balloon artist. Sausage sandwiches, meatballs, mozzarella en carozza, gelato and zeppoles can be enjoyed by all, and brews on draft include Peroni, Piccolo Seson, Strada San Felice, ReAle Extra and Victory Summer Love. The perfect family-friendly event will also offer draft Victory root beer, lemonade and bottled water. Guests can purchase 1 ticket for $2 each at various cashiers to pay for all offerings throughout the garden.

• Sansom Street Block Party in University City: New Deck Tavern, White Dog and Baby Blues BBQ shut down Sansom tonight for live music (reggae, blues and rock) on a big stage, local craft beers served from beer trucks and dancing in the street. Part of the proceeds will be going to Philadelphia Police and Fire Survivors Fund, Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania and Fair Foods. It’s going to be a blowout.

• Molly Malloy’s Market After Dark Event: Molly Malloy’s opens up Reading Terminal late-night for a multi-brewer-food-pairing-give-away-bonanza. Meet the brewers of Evil Genius, Round Guys and Prism as Molly Malloy’s serves delicious dishes to pair. They will also be raffling three incredible sets of Phillies tickets. Everyone that purchases a featured craft beer is entered to win.

• “Cabaret Of The Exiled” 2012: Theatre Exile’s annual fundraiser event “Cabaret Of The Exiled” is back tonight, celebrating 15 years of boundary-breaking theater with some of your favorite Theatre Exile stars. It’s a chance to support Exile with an evening of drinks, silent auction packages and performances, of both the theatrical and musical variety. The evening will be hosted by the dependably unpredictable Pearce Bunting of Broadway and Boardwalk Empire fame.

• Grilling with Victory at Johnny Brenda’s: Sausages from the grill + fine cheeses from Birchrun Hills Farm + tasty brews from Victory = an excellent evening in Fishtown. Sue Miller of Birchrun Hills Farm will be in attendance from 5-7 p.m. showing off their fine raw milk cheeses, including a Victory Storm King washed rind cheese.
