Weekend Picks: Get Outside! First Friday, Roots Picnic, Philadelphia International Bike Race, Philly Beer Week Kicks Off And More

It's another great weekend to be in Philadelphia, with the kick-off of Philly Beer Week 2012, the annual Bike Race, the newly expanded two-day Roots Picnic on Penn's Landing and First Friday in more neighborhoods than ever before. Philadelphia rings in the first weekend of June with happenings aplenty, from the epic 2012 Roots Picnic, expanded to two days for the first time, to First Friday across a hefty handful of neighborhoods across the region.
It’s going to be excellent weather for restaurant- and bar-hopping around the city, and luckily a few great new watering holes have opened up to help you do just that.
Plus, be sure to follow uwishunu on Twitter all weekend long to keep up-to-date on everything going down all weekend long. No need for a personal schedule or itinerary; you just need our Twitter feed.
