This January, we announced the creation of a brand new citywide arts inititiave called With Art Philadelphia™, the city’s first-ever coordinated and sustained visual arts marketing campaign.

And just two weeks ago, we launched an impressive new With Art Philadelphia™ website, your portal to the amazing artistic riches in Philadelphia.

“Check In to a Masterpiece” Foursquare program

Following on the heels of those announcements is, today, the official kick-off of the cool new “Check In to a Masterpiece” Foursquare program for With Art Philadelphia™.

Twelve masterful works of art in Philadelphia have been designated Foursquare check-in venues. Art mavens and the less art-informed alike can check in to each masterpiece and let their friends know that they are more than a fan of the art – they are actually on their way to being (Foursquare) mayor of it!

But there’s more. Starting today, June 1, and running through September 1, Foursquare users who check in to one of the masterpieces and tweet #withartphl with their check-in are entered to win a grand prize. One randomly selected winner will get:

• One-night hotel stay and breakfast at the Hilton Inn at Penn

• Museum tickets to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Perelman Building, PAFA and the Penn

• Museum, which includes VIP entrance to the exhibit Maya 2012: Lords of Time

• Gift certificate to Rembrandt’s restaurant

• Memberships to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and the Barnes Foundation
