The Global Fusion Festival and Week returns for its sixth year for a week of music, food, special events and much more.

Global Fusion, presented by the Multicultural Affairs Congress, celebrates Caribbean, Hispanic, African, African-American and Asian cultures through a week of fun-filled programming, highlighted by one of the biggest all-day festivals of the year at Penn’s Landing on Saturday, July 21.

The Global Fusion Festival at Penn’s Landing: Saturday, July 21

This year, the Global Fusion Festival will take place from noon-8 p.m. at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. True to this year’s theme, Rhapsody, the festival combines Caribbean, Hispanic, African, African-American and Asian cultural performers, vendors and cuisine for visitors and residents to experience.

The highlight of the festival is the annual concert. This year’s impressive headliners include: Grammy award-winning R&B singer and actress Brandy, singer/songwriter Elle Varner, Luke James, Kenny Lattimore, Cody Kamhar, R.K.M. & Ken-Y and Kendrick Lamar.

Global Fusion Week: July 16-July 22

One day just isn’t enough for a multicultural celebration. Global Fusion also includes a week of entertainment, specials, dining and parties around the city.

Events and specials started yesterday and continue through Sunday, July 22. Enjoy the Caribbean sounds of steel drummers, a thrilling performance by the Minghui Dance Team, giveaways from the Global Fusion Street Ambassadors and a special salsa-themed Art After 5 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among many other great events.
