How’s this for a weekend starter?
The very first edition of Penn’s Landing’s awesome new “Friday Night Lights” fireworks series kicks off this Friday, July 27 with a bang, illuminating the city skyline over the Delaware River with a free fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.
But before that, at 8 p.m., is a completely free concert on Penn’s Landing’s RiverStage by the fabulous Philadelphia Orchestra, the conclusion of their 2012 Neighborhood Concert Series.
Both events are free, outdoors, picnic- and family-friendly and back-to-back. Don’t forget some food and drink, good company and maybe a camera so you can remember one of the best summer nights on your schedule thus far.
Meanwhile, after tomorrow’s premiere, the “Friday Night Lights” fireworks series will continue for five consecutive Fridays, ending on August 31, 2012.
