July 5, 2012
We love First Fridays but it’s time to show some love to the other Fridays of the month.
Lancaster Avenue, home of last fall’s LOOK! public art project, invites you to “Come Out and Play” as July’s theme for their Second Friday event on July 13. Stretching from 34th to 41st Streets along Lancaster Avenue, vendors, artists and musicians will showcase all the avenue has to offer.
From 5-8 p.m., the sidewalks will come alive with street performers and sidewalk sales from local businesses.
For your Friday arts fix, stop by the avenue’s many art galleries, including Flying Kite Art Gallery (4017 Lancaster Avenue), featuring Mike Arrison’s 2012 Drexel Graduate Senior Thesis.
Also, be sure to sample seasonal recipes at the West Philly Fresh Food Hub, a locally-owned grocery truck on 37th Street.
