This summer, the big screen isn’t the only thing to move outdoors.
West Philadelphia’s favorite outdoor production series is back with a free performance of Shakespeare’s famous comedy, The Merry Wives of Windsor, every night starting at 7 p.m. from July 25-29.
Bring a blanket or chair and watch Shakespeare in Clark Park pull you into the story of Falstaff, who has his eye on two feisty housewives.
The group was founded in 2005, bringing culture and performing arts to the West Philly community. Since then, they have become a local favorite and a great time for the whole family.
Performances are in “The Bowl” area of the park, near the intersection of Chester Avenue and 43rd Street.
Heads up: the rain location for the show is the Curio Theatre, located at 48th Street and Baltimore Avenue, just a few blocks from Clark Park.
