Looking for a nice cap to your Friday nights in Old City? Just getting started? Either way, your Friday nights just got better.

The Smooth Jazz Summer Nights concert series returns to Penn’s Landing every Friday in August, bringing you free music, culture and (new this year!) fireworks.

The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. on the RiverStage at Penn’s Landing. But in honor of the series’ 15th anniversary season, each performance will also be capped off with dazzling fireworks at around 9:15 p.m. (You know how much we love fireworks.)

This year’s series celebrates women in jazz music, featuring a powerhouse all-female lineup. Catch performances by I+ONE featuring Patrice Rushen and Ndugu Chancler, Cindy Bradley, Oleta Adams and more.

The series kicks off on August 3 with Maysa and South Philly native (and Philly 101 star!) Carol Riddick for a sultry and mesmerizing performance.

Don’t miss the finale on August 31 with a percussion performance by the talented Sheila Escovedo. She has collaborated and performed with industry giants including Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr and many more.

Whether you’re starting or finishing your evening, don’t miss out on free live music, fireworks and the cool breeze along the waterfront. Sounds like a recipe for an incredible summer evening in Philadelphia.
