Penn’s Landing has been heating up with global culture this summer as a part of its annual PECO Multicultural Series.

Next up, the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA)’s summer cultural festival returns for the fifth consecutive year on Sunday, August 5 from 2-8 p.m.

Taking place at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing, the ACANA Festival brings you a celebrated mix of African immigrant and African-American culture with tons of food, vendors, music and entertainment to go with it.

The stage comes alive all day for dancers, the world famous Universal Dance & Drum Ensemble and tons of musical performers.

This year’s festival will be headlined by award-winning contemporary Nigerian-style African-pop duo Bracket. The many other talented musical performers will also be representing the African countries of Liberia, Congo, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and more.

Don’t miss other great ACANA Festival programming throughout the weekend, from a soccer tournament to a black-tie honorary banquet at the prestigious African American Museum. A full list of events and ticket options can be found online.
