The Eighth Annual Riot Fest Returns To Festival Pier Thursday, July 19

UPDATE: Riot Fest just announced that the event has been postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
With the many anticipated concerts arriving in Philadelphia this summer, like the Budweiser Made in America Festival, Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball encore and next weekend’s XPoNential Festival, the city’s music agenda continues to expand throughout the month adding some newcomers to the calendar.
Riot Fest 2012, the eighth annual multi-city music tour between the U.S. and Canada, returns to Philly for another round of live outdoor concerts, Thursday, July 19 at Festival Pier on Penn’s Landing.
Beginning in Chicago and heading east to Philly, the evening lineup, starting at 6 p.m., features nine bands at the Columbus Boulevard venue such as The Promise Ring, Refused, BOYSETSFIRE and August Burns Red.
Tickets are on sale online at $36.50 (including fees), but can be purchased service charge-free at the TLA Box Office on South Street, Creep Records at the Piazza at Schmidts and at the Live Nation box office in Bala Cynwyd.
