More than 140 antique, show, muscle, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the Avenue for five hours this Sunday. (Photo courtesy East Passyunk Avenue)

The seventh annual Car Show and Street Festival, formerly known as the Doo Wop, makes its yearly pit stop on East Passyunk Ave next Sunday, July 29, for an all-day rev fest showcasing more than 140 cars, motorcycles and trucks competing for the Best of Show title.

Hosted by the Northeast Muscle Car Club, classic, antique, muscle, custom and show varieties will be on display and judged in categories such as Best Engine, Best 50′s Custom and Best Modified along the five block span between Broad and Dickinson Streets from noon-5 p.m.

Live bands will be performing on each block throughout the day, entertainers from the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts will be in attendance, as well as the Bang! Boom! CRAFT! show.

East Passyunk’s diverse selection of restaurants will set up shop outdoors to provide street food and summertime beverages. Expect to see snackage from Birra serving slices in their outdoor beer garden; tacos and mexican fare from El Zarape; Le Virtu’s outdoor grill and beer garden; Noir’s Montreal-style hot dogs, poutine and arancini; sweet treats from Ms. Goody Cupcake and more.

Have a hot set of wheels you’d like to show off? All vehicle registrations must be entered day of at Broad Street and East Passyunk Ave between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m for a $15 fee. Spots are first come, first served, so we suggest getting there on the early side.

Bonus: Stogie Joe’s will continue the festivities with live music until 9 p.m. and Ms. Goody Cupcake will celebrate their one year anniversary with samples and prizes at the shop from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
