Here’s The Trailer For Backwards, The Rowing Movie Starring James Van Der Beek Shot In Philadelphia Last Year And Set To Open In September
Remember last year when we told you about the rowing movie starring James Van Der Beek that was shooting in Philadelphia at the time.
Well, the movie — called “Backwards” — is due out in theaters in September and here’s the trailer.
You can definitely tell they shot the movie in Philadelphia — city locales are visible throughout the trailer… Boathouse Row, rowing on the Schuylkill, Skyline shots, the Art Museum steps, the Water Works, a street scene outside the Kimmel Center and more.
Add in the Olympic story-line, and the movie seems pretty timely right now.
And, of course, it always warms our heart to see Philadelphia looking great on the silver screen. Which reminds us, be sure to keep your eyes out for a more stars around town, like Liam Hemsworth, Harrison Ford and Dustin Hoffman, who are currently in town filming Paranoia.
