Morris Arboretum adds a splash of reggae to their beat with the final Third Thursday event this summer, Musical Chairs, Thursday, August 16, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
With a steel drum performance setting the musical tone of the evening, guests are invited to take a peek at the arboretum’s seasonal exhibit, Take a Seat! Adirondack Chairs Re-Interpreted, from artist Paul Downie who created and named the featured pieces Lotus Thrones.
The event, which is included with the purchase of admission, will also toss up a bevy of activities like the limbo, scavenger hunts and of course, musical chairs, for family members of all ages to take part in.
In addition to being a great outdoor celebration, the display is also a great way to explore the arboretum’s beautiful gardens, water features and nationally award winning exhibit, “Out on a Limb.”
