We love our boozy shakes, but we’ll always have a soft spot for a classic root beer float.
Luckily, National Root Beer Float Day is right around the corner. On Monday, August 6 beginning at 5 p.m., Percy Street Barbecue on South Street invites you to celebrate with them.
Percy Street will be offering three variations of the float at special prices, served in classic frosted mason jars and topped with house-churned vanilla ice cream. Delicious.
Try their classic root beer float for just $3. The spiced root beer is made by local brewingpower house Yards Brewing Company. Also, don’t miss an off-the-menu spiked root beer float with Old Overholt Rye for $6, too.
Never fear, beer lovers. They’re offering the Oskar Blues’ Ten Fidy as a float for $10.50. Just imagine: the chocolate-covered caramel and coffee-flavored stout poured over their own vanilla ice cream for a fun, adult twist on the classic treat.
And as Percy Street was recently named the Best Place to Grab a Can of Craft Beer in America, don’t forget to check out the incredible canned beer selection while you’re there.
