Reminder: Philadelphia Weekly’s “Concerts In The Park” Series Returns To Rittenhouse Square For Three Wednesdays Starting This Week, August 15

After a year away, the annual summer Concerts In The Park Series will return to Rittenhouse Square this summer for three Wednesdays starting this week, on August 15, 22 and 29. (Photo by M. Kennedy for GPTMC)

Coming off this past Saturday’s Moonlit Movie in Rittenhouse Square (Thanks so much to everyone for coming, and bearing with us through some less than ideal weather and technical conditions! Stay tuned for a recap later today…), we know that summer nights in Rittenhouse are unbeatable.

Luckily, Philadelphia Weekly’s free Concerts in the Park Series is returning to its rightful location in Rittenhouse Square, with three Wednesdays of totally free outdoor entertainment. And it all starts this week, Wednesday, August 15.

Here’s this year’s concert lineup:

• August 15: Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band with special guest TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb

• August 22: Ground Up featuring The Lawsuits

• August 29: Strapping Fieldhands/The Spinning Leaves

Mark your calendars and get excited. And check out our guide to picnicking in Rittenhouse Square; nothing says picnic like a free outdoor concert in the park.

Philadelphia Weekly’s 22nd Annual Concerts in the Park
