Reminder: Uwishunu Presents A Moonlit Movie In Rittenhouse Square This Saturday Night, August 11 – Pack A Picnic, Grab Some Friends And Enjoy A Great Summer Evening In The Square
It’s almost go time. Uwishunu is turning Rittenhouse Square into a pop-up outdoor movie theater this Saturday night, August 11 with our event, Uwishunu Presents a Moonlit Movie Screening in Rittenhouse Square.
Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect on Saturday night:
• The PHS Pop-Up Garden will open at 6 p.m., with special evening hours for you to explore the urban oasis.
• Shake Shack will be dishing out free frozen custard at the PHS Pop-Up Garden, with live jazz tunes from the feature movie of the evening (read on), from 7-9 p.m.
• Rouge will be selling movie snacks from a curbside stand outside its restaurant for the entire evening. They’ll have hotdogs for $5, popcorn for $3 and 20-ounce lemonades for $3. If you want to take advantage, plan to head over there around 7 p.m., then secure your spot in the square for the movie.
• Pre-movie programming begins at 8 p.m.; Midnight in Paris, the feature presentation of the evening, will begin at 8:30 p.m.
Be sure to check out our guide to picnicking in Rittenhouse Square, which includes 15 options near the square to head to for food and drink beforehand. Because this event is going to be the ultimate opportunity for a summer picnic with friends in one of Philadelphia’s most beautiful squares.
