The Sketchbook Project, A Traveling Exhibit Of 7,500 Artists’ Sketchbooks From Across The Globe, Hits Philadelphia Starting Today, August 23

After stops at art spaces across the country, including in Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland, the popular Sketchbook Project comes to Philadelphia’s Painted Bride Art Center for a three-day exhibit, beginning today, August 23, through August 25.
Established in 2006 by Brooklyn-based Art House, an independent company that organizes global, collaborative art projects, the Sketchbook Project is an evolving library that features more than 18,000 artists’ sketchbooks contributed by individuals from over 130 countries.
The 2012 coast-to-coast traveling exhibition features 7,500 of these submissions, sent in by participants from 88 countries.
Exhibit hours at Painted Bride Art Center are 1-5 p.m. on all three days (August 23-25).
