Third Annual Philadelphia Honey Festival Returns September 7-9 With Honeycomb Ice Cream, Beekeeping Demos, Crafts And More

The buzz is building for one of the sweetest festivals around, the third annual Philadelphia Honey Festival.
Presented by the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, the Honey Festival is bigger than ever this year with three days of bee-related activities from September 7-9.
Celebrate the hardworking bee with a fun-filled, educational and honey-packed weekend of events at the Wagner Free Institute of Science, Wyck Historic House & Garden and Bartram’s Garden.
Take a peek inside a working beehive, learn how to make delicious dishes with honey and enjoy family-friendly festivities while learning about the importance of bees.
Highlights of this year’s festival include: Honey Happy Hour with Stonekeep Meadery, Prism Brewing Company, Earth Bread + Brewery and honeycomb ice cream from the Franklin Fountain; talks by local artists and authors; appearances by Jessica Long, the Pennsylvania Honey Queen; beekeeping workshops; local honey tastings and sales; hands-on activities like beeswax candle making and seed bomb workshops; the Bee-A-Bee Pageant and more.
