Bar AIDS Returns To Philadelphia This Thursday, September 27 With More Than A Dozen Bars And Coffehouses Participating

More than a dozen bars, lounges and coffee houses across Philadelphia will once again donate a percentage of their day’s proceeds to help fund four local HIV/AIDS service organizations during the third annual Bar AIDS this Thursday, September 27.

Bar AIDS is part of a national movement that began in Chicago seven years ago and is now in three cities nationwide, with more joining every year. Similar to the popular Dining Out for Life restaurant event, Bar AIDS allows coffee and drinks lovers to patronize their favorite bars and coffee shops for a great cause.

Follow Bar AIDS on Foursquare for an all-in-one guide to participating locations. Many are in the Gayborhood, but not all.

Philadelphia’s local beneficiaries – ActionAIDS, the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania, Mazzoni Center and Philadelphia FIGHT – together provide services for thousands of men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS each year.
