Field House, one of the city’s largest sports bars boasting a two-story space with a 14′ x 8′ projection screen and 35 televisions situated for your athletic viewing needs, re-opens after receiving a food and drink face-lift, this Friday, September 7.
Stepping into the kitchen, noted local chef Andrew Brown, who has left his station as executive chef at Opa, creates a pub-inspired menu with nods towards iconic Philadelphia fare.
Expect tastes of scrapple, roast pork sandwiches, Town Dock calamari with hot peppers and caper anchovy aioli and tavern traditions of chicken salad with fried oysters to go along with an abundant selection of local brews, wine and cocktails.
Beer Steward Andy Farrell’s new 40-tap system which pours hand-selected picks of craft and domestic beers highlights a healthy selection of breweries within 100 miles of our city like Sly Fox, Yards and Stoudts.
Just in time for watching 300 lb. men in tights throwing around the pigskin (Eagles kick off on Sunday at 1 p.m.!) Field House is open seven days a week with dinner beginning at 5 p.m. and lunch services kicking in the week of September 17.
