Gershman Y Presents “Roy Lichtenstein In His Studio: Photographs By Laurie Lambrecht,” An Inside View Into The Pop Artist’s Work, Opening Today, September 13

Head on over to the Gershman Y on the Avenue of the Arts for a rare glimpse into the studio of the famous pop artist Roy Lichtenstein.
On view September 13 through November 18, Roy Lichtenstein In His Studio features a set of photographs of the artist working on his comics-inspired paintings.
All images were taken by noted photographer Laurie Lambrecht while she served as Lichtenstein’s studio assistant for three years during the 1990s.
Visitors will also be able to meet Lambrecht and hear her speak about her experiences working with Lichtenstein during a reception and artist talk on Thursday, October 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Gershman Y. Lambrecht will also be signing copies of her book, Roy Lichtenstein in His Studio during that time.
Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Pop art lovers, don’t miss out on this!
