Now this is what we call a fall festival: the Chester Riverfront Ramble returns to the Chester waterfront this Saturday, September 22 for ten hours of non-stop live music, delicious food, family entertainment, crafts and explosive fireworks to cap it all off.

The Riverfront Ramble, newly renamed “A Day of Unity,” is now in its eighth year, and the 2012 edition is going to be the biggest yet. It’s truly a festival of epic proportions, as a 14-mile stretch of the Delaware River waterfront comes alive.

From Tinicum to Marcus Hook, the riverfront will fill up with crowds celebrating Delaware County’s waterfront communities. Fill up on a huge assortment of food (ice cream, candy, soul food, Italian, Cajun, Asian) and work it off on the moonbounce or by boating on the river.

Browse the classic and modern car show, rock out to all-day live concerts and browse the craft displays for a piece of the festival to take home.

As always, the Riverfront Ramble comes to a close with a stunning fireworks display after the sun sets. Bring a blanket, and your family.
