Adorn Boutique, that totally hip shop in the equally cool Fishtown neighborhood, is hosting a trunk show on Saturday, October 27, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., for Girl and a Mouse, a clothing collection for girls ages 3 to 10 years old.
Girl and a Mouse is the joint creation of two sisters — Nicola O’Connell from Haddon Heights, NJ and Fiona Grant of the UK.
Nicola, the principal designer of the apparel line, spent much of her career designing for Free People. You’ll see traces of that line in Girl and a Mouse, which has a similar whimsical vintage look to it.
Each collection of Girl and a Mouse always includes surprise elements, like a touch of embroidery, a fancy frill or an unexpected pop of color. The line encourages kids to mix, match and layer clothing pieces in various ways.
The Fall ’12 collection will be highlighted at the trunk show. That includes all tops, dresses, skirts and accessories. All of which will be available for purchase.
