Diálogo 365, The Largest Latino Arts Exhibition In Philadelphia, Opens At City Hall This Thursday, October 18

Co-presented by Art in City Hall and the office of Councilwoman María-Quiñonez-Sánchez, the 2012 edition of Diálogo 365 opens its doors to Carpe Diem, an exhibition showcasing the work of the region’s emerging and establishedLatino, Latin American and Caribbean artists this Thursday, October 18.
Carpe Diem is the fourth installment of Casa de Venezuela’s annual art exhibition dedicated to promoting the rich culture of Latin American and Caribbean communities.
Curated by Anabelle Rodriguez, this year’s exhibition is inspired by the famous phrase “Seize the day” by Roman poet Horace, focusing on the present and the simple but joyful things in life. Using this phrase to guide artists’ vision, Carpe Diem asks artists to creatively contemplate their role and significance as cultural ambassadors.
A full list of participating artists is available online, and be sure to check out Casa de Venezuela, the amazing local nonprofit behind the event.
