Compete for the scariest, funniest and most original Halloween get-ups when you head to East Passyunk Avenue for the annual costume contest and fall festival on Saturday, October 27.
This year there will be all sorts of fun additions to the activity list.
Little ones ages four and under should come dressed to compete at 11 a.m.; kiddos age 5 to 8 go at 11:30 p.m; at noon come the 9 to 12-year-olds; and then at 12:30 p.m. it’s puppy time. Yes, your canine companions can have a shot at the best-dressed titles, as well.
Meanwhile, Nice Things Hand Made, a fabulous shop on East Passyunk Avenue, is producing a craft show. There will also be live music, circus performers, tarot-card readings by Angela Ranalli, face painting and tattoos, cupcakes from Ms. Goody Cupcakes’ and other fun activities including pumpkin decorating, crafts and trick or treating.
Family music will be provided by Willie and then later on, don’t miss performances by Rooster & Squire and We are Fauna. Stateside will also be pouring seasonal craft beer from 1-4 p.m. and have the kitchen open.
Don’t forget to pencil in a spot on your calendar for this totally free event. If it rains, the activities will be slightly downsized and moved to Urban Jungle.
It’s a huge week on East Passyunk, with the Witch Craft Beer Crawl hitting the avenue on Wednesday, then a booming Saturday. Should be great.
