FDR Park To Host “GLOW In The Park,” Thursday, October 25

Join the Fairmount Park Conservancy in welcoming the first “GLOW in the Park” event at the Boathouse at FDR Park on Thursday, October 25.

From 6-9 p.m. celebrate Philadelphia’s parks at the 348-acre space in South Philadelphia, by FDR’s historic boathouse. The massive park by the stadiums and naval yard encompasses three lakes, a skate park, golf course, tennis courts and other sports fields.

The park is also home to two ecosystems, coastal plain forests and a fresh water tidal marsh. That’s right — a tidal marsh and coastal plain forests within the city limits!

The event will offer food from some of Philly’s best food trucks like Sweetbox Truck and Foo Truck and delicious cocktails, plus music from feature guest, Hazie Blu.

Tickets are $45 for Fairmount Park Conservancy members and $75 for non-members, but with this cost comes an annual membership for all attendees to the Fairmount Park Conservancy at the $50 level.
