Philadelphia Film Archivists Collective and PhillyCAM Present Home Movie Day, Celebrating Amateur Films And Filmmakers, October 20

Dig out your 16mm, 8mm, or super8 home videos and see if they can make the cut for the silver screen at this free Home Movie Day event from the Philadelphia Film Archivists Collective, in association with PhillyCAM.
They’re looking for your most sentimental, funny, ridiculous, artsy or random home videos. Bring them to the PhillyCAM downtown office in advance, if you can, for the film archivists to project and inspect so that your videos can be a part of the screening.
Give a heads up and get advance submission forms by e-mail. Bringing in videos the day of the event is okay, too.
Even if you don’t want to be a part of the cinematic spectacle, you can still spectate. This is the sixth annual day of its kind in Philadelphia and, in previous years, the videos have been known to get some good chuckles and even a few tears as you watch the times, fashion and families as they’ve changed over the years.
Home Movie Day
