Scott Schuman, A.K.A. “The Sartorialist,” The Reigning King Of Street Style Photography, To Appear At The Barnes Foundation For A Free Talk And Book Signing, Saturday, October 13

The Sartorialist is coming to Philadelphia!

On Saturday, October 13, from 5-7 p.m., the reigning king of street style photography will make his first-ever patronage to Philadelphia for a public book signing of his critically acclaimed book The Sartorialist: Closer.

Following book signings in Paris and New York, Scott Schuman will appear at the Barnes Foundation and you are invited. Start planning your outfit.

He’ll speak and sign copies of his brand new book out on the West Terrace (weather location: Annenberg Court). Make sure to bring enough dough to buy several copies — the holidays are just around the corner, people.

In The Sartorialist: Closer, Schuman looks with great breadth at human style, and how it’s expressed across the world. The book encompasses the visual attitude of people as far afield as Japan, Korea, London, Milan, New York, Paris and beyond.

Schuman will be accompanied by equally acclaimed fashion photographer Garance Dore at the signing.

In addition to the now-legendary blog, Schuman’s work has been featured in GQ, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, and Interview. He’s shot ad campaigns for and collaborated with Burberry, Kiehl’s, Nespresso, DKNY Jeans, Gant, OVS, Crate & Barrel and Absolut. His work resides in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.

Basically, he’s a really big deal.

And he’s coming to town, riding the coattails of the fashion moment Philadelphia is having right now. Don’t miss it.
