Enjoy $2.50 sandwiches at the iconic Shank's Original on November 3. (Photo courtesy Shank's Original)
Of course there’s a National Sandwich Day — there’s a holiday for all of our favorite things in the world, and the sandwich is undeniably one of those, especially in Philadelphia.
Fun tidbit: Appropriately, November 3 is also the fourth Earl of Sandwich John Montagu’s birthday.
We think the sandwich deserves a celebration, and one great place to take part in that and also reap the rewards is at Shank’s Original, the iconic 50-year-old Philadelphia sandwich destination.
They’ll be dishing out sandwiches for just $2.50 to celebrate their birthday and National Sandwich Day which, for them, is like a religious holiday.
Don’t fill up too much to get in on the free birthday cake — they’ll be passing it around all throughout the day.
