Come in your PJ’s and be prepared to eat breakfast for dinner at this silly “Night at the Museum” family dinner party at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Watch fun performances, take part in cool activities like a medieval art scavenger hunt, get artsy with shadow puppet-making in the Indian and Himalayan art galleries and get dancing to songs from “All Around This World” under a Flemish altarpiece.
All of that exhausting fun just in time to get them all tuckered out and tucked in early.
Guests will enjoy performances ranging from traditional ballets with Edgar Degas’s Little Dancer to traditional Indian music played by Penn Sargam. To close the evening, Philadelphia-based dance theater company Brian Sanders’ Junk will perform in the Great Stair Hall.
Last year the event was able to raise more than $20,000 for educational programs within the museum and also benefited the museum’s award-winning Division of Education and Public Programs.
PNC Arts Alive will be sponsoring the event as a part of their five-year grant initiate to enhance the arts.
