After an exciting offseason, the Sixers officially tip-off the 2012-2013 regular season tonight at the Wells Fargo Center against longtime Sixer Andre Iguodala and the Denver Nuggets.

This year’s team blends familiar faces like Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and Thaddeus Young, with new additions like veteran guard Jason Richardson, sharpshooter Nick Young and All-Star center Andrew Bynum (who is recovering from a leg injury and will not be on the floor tonight) in the quest to capture the Atlantic Division crown and compete with the best of the Eastern Conference.

This year, the Sixers are celebrating 50 seasons in Philadelphia and fans attending the tonight’s season-opener will receive free “50 Seasons” t-shirts upon arrival. There will also be Halloween-themed fun taking place throughout the arena, including trick or treating, costume contests and more.

Tickets for tonight’s game are still available, but likely not for long, so move quickly!
