Head to the avenue’s iconic fountain at Passyunk Avenue and Tasker Street to celebrate the season.
East Passyunk area businesses will be providing free food and drinks and even some free booze for adults.
Black N Brew will be supplying hot chocolate for chilly attendees, desserts will be provided by Belle Cakery, Izumi will dish out sushi, Paradiso will have bruschetta, Birra will have pizza and meatballs and Le Virtu will have pasta. Stateside will have adult spirits.
The streets around the fountain will be closed to vehicular traffic to prepare for more guests than ever.
Starting at 5 p.m. listen to Christmas carols from the children at Alphabet Academy and music by students from Andrew Jackson School, and then at 5:30 p.m. welcome Santa as he arrives in splendor.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year in South Philly!
