Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a lot going on.
In addition to currently starring in Looper and the upcoming Lincoln, he just hosted his second episode of SNL and, before that, was injured on set while filming an action sequence for the movie Premium Rush.
He’s directed two hit movies and a Broadway show, starred in dozens of movies and TV shows since the age of 6 — (500) Days of Summer, 3rd Rock from the Sun, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Dark Knight Rises, 50/50 — and picked up award after award.
On top of all that, he’s the founder of an online collaborative production company called hitRECord, which uses video, music, literature, photography, performance, spoken word, screenwriting, graphic art and more from artists around the world to make books, DVDs and films.
And it’s coming, along with its founder, to Philly.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt will grace the Merriam Theater stage on Monday, November 19 at 9 p.m., bringing his “hitRECord On The Road” Show to town, an evening of original short films, live entertainment and collaborative “RECording.”
Following sold-out successes in L.A. and the Sundance Film Festival, “hitRECord On The Road” is sure to satisfy Philadelphia audiences. Especially this part: In addition to hosting and presenting work, Gordon-Levitt will also direct, and will be performing and interacting with the live audience in sketches, readings and musical moments contributed by the hitRECord community.
