Peter Nero and the Philly Pops celebrate their 34th season of musical cheer with the 2012 edition of the beloved holiday concert series Holiday Pops.

Running December 7-22, the concert offers the delightful, nostalgic seasonal tunes Philadelphians have come to cherish with both matinees that are great for groups, families and kids and evening performances as well.

This year, Holiday Pops will feature vocalist Capathia Jenkins, The POPS Festival Chorus, The Philadelphia Boys Choir, The African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Gospel Choir and organist Peter Conte.

Starting next season, conductor Michael Krajewski, the principal pops conductor of the Atlanta, Houston and Jacksonville Symphony Orchestras, will succeed Peter Nero as the Pops’ Music Director. So this is your last chance to catch Peter Nero and the Pops during the holidays!

Hey, friends! There is an error in the copy and it could have originated from the original media release. That being said, where it reads, “starting next year”…. it should have been “starting next SEASON”. I’m still on the podium and at the piano in February and May! After that, I go on tour for eternity. :-)

Thanks for the clarification, Peter! We’re excited for Holiday Pops.
