Philadelphia Art Alliance’s First-Ever “Shop On The Square” Exhibition, Craft Sale And Art Auction Debuts December 3-9
More than 35 artists will be putting their work up for sale at the first-ever Philadelphia Art Alliance “Shop On The Square” event happening on Rittenhouse Square next month.
The second floor galleries of the PAA will be transformed into an upscale retail shop, featuring an assortment of handmade items by a diverse group of artists perfect for holiday gifting.
Proceeds from the jewelry, accessory, tableware, sculpture and clothing sales and auctions will benefit exhibitions and programs at the PAA.
They’ll welcome the week of sales with a swanky Preview Cocktail Party, Auction and Dinner. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments provided by Rittenhouse Tavern followed by a live auction featuring items donated by Barclay Prime, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and Tiffany & Co., among others.
Here’s a fun little bonus just for new moms: independent curator Jen Zwilling will host a “Bring Your Stroller” guided tour of an origami workshop where you can make your own holiday card craft station for kids.
