Fashionable Philadelphians, listen up!
Philly native Jay McCarroll, the very first winner of Bravo TV’s Emmy®-nominated reality show Project Runway, is presenting a trunk show highlighting his collection of clothing, scarves, socks and more at Art Star Gallery & Boutique on Saturday, November 17, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Internationally recognized for winning the inaugural season of the wildly popular reality series, Jay studied fashion design right here at the former Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (now Philadelphia University), where he currently teaches. He also studied at the London College of Fashion.
Jay adores manipulating fabric, color, pattern and texture into functioning products for people to use and enjoy. While he finds inspiration for his work in a variety of different places, he’s always been drawn to the vastness and beauty of nature and is fascinated with how humans utilize nature in an industrious manner.
At the event, you’ll not only be able to shop McCarroll’s colorful collection, but meet the designer himself. Complimentary mimosas and snacks will be provided.
