Scuba Santa Is Coming To Town: Adventure Aquarium’s Annual Christmas Celebration Kicks Off Friday, November 23
Experience the magic of the holidays with Scuba Santa at Adventure Aquarium on the Camden Waterfront.
Starting Friday, November 23 through January 1, one of the most unique holiday celebrations in the Philadelphia area returns: Adventure Aquarium’s annual Christmas Celebration.
The aquarium will be transformed into an underwater winter wonderland featuring twinkling lights, glowing trees, gently falling snow, 8,500 animals and the one and only Scuba Santa.
Check out our rundown of what to expect at Adventure Aquarium’s Christmas Celebration:
Meet Scuba Santa
The “I Believe in Scuba Santa” live show in the 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm Dive Theater is an annual tradition at the aquarium. Join Elf-Fish Snow Flake as she convinces a child to believe in the existence of Scuba Santa, culminating in an underwater appearance by the big guy himself. The show runs December 1–31.
Want to see him up close, and not just behind glass? Take photos with Scuba Santa December 1-16 as he greets guests “dry side” on his Christmas throne in the Rotunda. Bonus: families are eligible to receive one free 4×6 photo with the jolly old fellow.
Gill’s Holiday Dance Party
Boogie down with Bumble the Snow Monster, Gill the Shark and Scuba Santa’s Elf-Fish friends during Gill’s Holiday Dance Party in the Rotunda featuring music, a light display and snow(!!). The show runs from November 23-31.
Character Meet & Greets
Meet and greet opportunities with kids’ holiday favorites abound. Interact with everyone’s favorite red-nosed reindeer, Rudolph. High–fin Gill the Shark. Give out hugs to Bumble the Snow Monster. There are daily appearances; be sure to bring the camera.
