Save yourself the chaos of shopping at the mall for your holiday gifts and consider taking a trip to the quaint and quiet streets of Chestnut Hill.
Wednesday evenings, December 5, 12 and 19 are Stag & Doe Nights, the chance to take a charming stroll down Germantown Avenue where shops will be welcoming shoppers from 6-9 p.m. to take a break from the crisp winter air, holiday lights and decorations of Chestnut Hill’s downtown.
While you’re there, be sure not to miss the 2012 Pennsylvania Horticulture Society Holiday Pop-Up Store which will be open from Wednesday, November 28 through Sunday, December 23.
For sustenance, be sure to stop by Bredenbeck’s Bakery for delicious homemade gingerbread (and special Wednesday night classes!), the revamped Cafette for tasty vegetarian bites, Tavern on the Hill for a cold one, and Mica for award-winning cuisine from Chef Chip Roman.
Carolers will be caroling and pine trees will be twinkling white. Plus, on the Sundays before Christmas, Santa will even be stopping by for visits at the Polar Bear Bench at 8301 Germantown Avenue from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
