The Bearded Ladies Return To The Wilma Theater With A Bold And Innovative Cabaret Performance Marlene And The Machine, December 5-15

The comically talented theater group, The Bearded Ladies, returns to the Wilma for the holiday season with another bold original work, Marlene and The Machine, on stage December 5-15.
Transforming the lobby into an intricate cityscape that references German expressionism, the cabaret journey offers a shadowy, atonal world for audiences that “blurs the lines between human, music and machine.”
Marlene and The Machine presents an off-key collaboration of music from 1920s German-American actress and singer Marlene Dietrich with that of 20th century Austrian performer Lotte Lenya.
With their recent recognition from the 2012 Knight Arts Challenge, a Philadelphia arts program that funds engaging and enriching ideas, The Bearded Ladies will continue to share innovative pieces at PIFA 2013 next March as well as throughout the summer.
A complete schedule and tickets for Marlene and The Machine can be viewed here.
Bonus: Tickets include all-you-can-drink themed cocktails to ensure the entertainment piece is thoroughly enjoyed.
