The Free Library of Philadelphia is continuing its Year of Dickens theme with a pub crawl to honor the 200-year anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth with a spirited, beer-filled celebration.
On Saturday, November 10, the Free Library’s young friends group, the Raven Society, will host the pub crawl, aimed at raising money for the library.
The route begins at Philadelphia’s historic McGillin’s Olde Ale House in Midtown Village at 1:30 p.m. and then continues onto Fergie’s Pub and Irish Pub.
Crawlers are encouraged to dress in Dickens-themed costumes to kick up the celebration a bit. In addition to the drinking and dress-up, the Ravens will be presenting trivia, prizes and much more.
Definitely expect food and drink specials as well as complimentary snacks at each location.
Tickets are available online. Space is limited — tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
