Weekend Picks: Philadelphia Marathon, First Person Arts Festival Closing Weekend, LOVE Your Park Fall Service Day, Sneak Peek Of The Macy’s Christmas Light Show And More

The 2012 Philadelphia Marathon is this weekend, and thanks to Mayor Nutter's generosity with disenfranchised New York Marathon registrants, an extra 3,000 runners will be competing. It's going to be an energetic weekend in Philadelphia! (Photo courtesy Philadelphia Marathon)
Philadelphia Marathon Weekend holds excitement for the thousands of runners competing, their friends and loved ones pumped to cheer them on and even the uninvolved, since the race weekend brings with it a positive charge that infuses the whole city.
We have a comprehensive spectator’s guide if you want to participate in the marathon madness. And if not? There’s plenty more going on, from great sales and trunk shows at boutiques, a sneak peek of holiday season — Macy’s Christmas Light Show, Peddler’s Village Grand Illumination — and more.
