We’re interrupting regularly scheduled programming to bring you a piece of news that we’re pretty excited about: Uwishunu has teamed up with Google on Google’s new Field Trip app to be the local content partner for Philadelphia.
The app is a location-based app that’s acts like a pocket guide to all the hidden things around you that you might not know about.
The app runs in your phone’s background, popping up with tips and fun facts whenever you pass by something significant; current categories include architecture, historic places, lifestyle, food, drinks and “cool and unique” places.
Google Field Trip is all about “seeing the world around you with new eyes,” and as your source for everything fun and exciting going on in Philadelphia, Uwishunu was a natural fit for Field Trip.
We are psyched to be teaming up with Google Field Trip, and encourage you all to check out the app.
Just note that right now Google Field Trip is only available on Google Play for Android, but it’s coming soon to iOS.
Check out a cool promo video for the app below.
