Old City Winter Wonderland Lands At TRUST December 14-16 And 21-23: Music, Gift Wrapping Stations, Food And Drink, Santa And More, Kicking Off With An “Unsilent Night” Parade
The TRUST Building at 3rd and Arch Streets is being transformed into holiday central in Old City, with fun-for-the-whole-family events scheduled over the next two weekends in December.
The Old City Winter Wonderland is the place to be this holiday season in Philadelphia.
Take pictures with Santa, decorate gingerbread houses and ornaments, enjoy live music, tasty food and drink, gift wrapping stations to benefit PAWS and more.
It all kicks off with an incredibly cool event on Friday night, December 14, at 7 p.m. It’s called “Unsilent Night,” presented by Hidden City. The 45-minute walk is part sound sculpture, part parade in which the audience becomes the performers.
It’s centered around composer Phil Kline’s holiday classic, which he wrote specifically to be heard outdoors in the month of December.
Want in? Meet at 6:30 p.m. at TRUST; the parade will proceed from there. It’s free and open to the public with no advance registration necessary.
