Manayunk’s popular Manayunk on Ice festival is back. From February 8-10, Main Street and the surrounding area will be turned into an ice wonderland.
The unforgettable weekend begins with a huge ice bonfire on Friday night, and as the weekend continues, ice activities are in no shortage. Ice carvers will create ice sculptures all down Main Street.
These ice carvers are far from amateurs, watch them create impressive ice sculptures that will have you wondering how a solid block of ice turned into such an intricate piece of art. Guests will have the chance to vote for their favorite ice sculpture at the East River Bank table.
There will be a live musical performance from Fear No Ice who will perform a theatrical ice show for attendees.
On Friday, February 8, from 6-8 p.m., the icy weekend kicks off. Listen to the Fear No Ice performance, indulge in tasty treats and cocktails and warm up a little at the ice bonfire.
On Saturday, February 9 from noon-4 p.m., attendees will get to witness the impressive ice sculptors carve away at both the merchant sculptures and master carvers exhibition.
On Sunday, February 10, from noon-4 p.m., check out 30 minute ice battles where ice carvers will compete to create the best ice sculpture in half an hour.
Many favorite shops and restaurants will be open along Main Street, so be sure to stop in and warm up.
